The Hermit's Den

This modest blog is here for a bored hermit to share her translations of bitter and depressing stories. All M people, welcome welcome! As for all the other, what are you doing here? You'll ended up depressed and in tears! Careful!

Your hermit is not a native English speaker and is just studying Japanese. It's not a machine translation and this hermit is using google translate only to have the reading of the damned kanji. My wonderful dictionary app Takoboto and the Internet are used to check the meaning of unknown words and expressions.

The story  translated is:

My fiancé is in love with my little sister
The story is fully translated and completed. I think so at last, it is hard to find out if the author will write more, but we have reached a conclusion point as of chapter 54 and the author has started a new series.

Please, enjoy your read and try not to cry too much. I love reading comments and see how you're sinking into depression. Don't hesitate to share your sadness, that's my greatest source of motivation. I don't always answer back, but I read it all, even the most recent comments post up way after the chapter was. Mwawawawawawa

  7. you're so cool. after reading your translation, i decided to translate it to my language and while translating i noticed that even if you understand smth fully, you might not translate it perfectly to your language. a translator also needs to adapt the story to the final language and I've been enjoying your work so far. It's also that i like depressive stories and pitying myself. idk why

    1. Thank you thank you! I hope my adaptation to English isn't too bad because it's not my mother tongue either. But it couldn't be help, I wanted people to read and become depressed --- I mean, enjoy the story!
Could luck with your translation, it takes time, it's tiring, but also funny and fulfilling!

  8. To the person who wrote the comment on depression with the links toward articles on this topic, I decided to delete it.
I hope this won't hurt your feelings. I just couldn't judge if it was appropriate or not to let it there. I'm translating for the pleasure of reading and sharing (yeah, even though it's a tragedy), so I found the links didn't belong here.
Wishing you the best, have a nice read.

    1. Hello! I'm glad you enjoyed the story ^^
Actually, I've read very few sad stories, it might be contradictory but I like comedy and light read more than tragedy.
BUT! I've looked through my NU reading lists, and the ones that might interest you are:
I Reincarnated as a Noble Girl Villainess But Why Did It Turn Out This Way?
Shuumatsu Nani Shitemasu ka? Isogashii desu ka? Sukutte Moratte Ii desu ka?
The Girl Who Bore the Flame Ring
      Gomen ne, Onii-sama
      Violet Evergarden

And I haven't read it yet, but people on the comments section say it's a great story and they cried reading it : Lost You Forever

I hope this well help! Have fun? Should I say have sadness instead?

    2. Oh thank you so much for these! I've only read Violet Evergarden from this and really liked it. And I've heard of how sad Shuumatsu is RIP. I'll give them all a try:D Have a great day (人*´∀`)。*゚+

    3. Hi! Well, it isn't that depressing or whatever, but why don't you try Attack on Titan? I heard that the Japanese Synchronizer (is that even a word?) of Eren got depressions after the work on the anime. Yes, it's manga/anime. But I highly recommend it! And ... well, I like the ending. Because it's not ur usual happy bullshit.

  12. Hi! Since the quarantine, one of my friends recommended me read this since it was one of their favorite novels. I'm about halfway through and it is depressing AF haha. Anyways, I wanted to say thank you so much for translating this from Japanese! I'm extremely grateful that you did this so I (and many others) could suffer from the depressing book. However, I couldn't help but notice some grammar and spelling mistakes littered around. I wanted to offer my services to help proofread(?)/clean(?)/edit(?) the translation so it can be easier to read (It's something where it's like I'll try not to change any of the words used to preserve the feeling that the author gives us, but I'll try to reorder them to be less confusing.) You're totally fine to reject my offer, but I just wanted to put that out there if you're interested. Thanks again for translating it and I hope you have an awesome day!

    1. I'm glad you enjoyed the story! The author is very good at tormenting her characters and readers...
And I wish you the best of luck with your Japanese studies. Learning to read it is hard, and when you don't practice for a while you forget a lot of kanji... (cry silently)... but being able to read the original and not having to wait for translations is great!

  21. Thank you so much for translating! It's been a wild ride, but I hope the author will still finish off the ending^^

  22. The translation is beautiful and I feel that you capture a lot of the emotions conveyed in the japanese translation. I know that some words in japanese are more poetic (?) in a sense so I'm grateful for your hardwork and loyalty! I actually started this series back in 2020-2021 I think, and I've only just recently finished. Ilya's character is so tragic,,, but the current direction of the story makes the story so worth it! There's so much I want to comment on but I want to keep it spoil-free, but really hope the next chapter won't be too long of a wait. =v=

    1. Thank you for your kind words. Knowing that some people, somewhere, are also enjoying this story is the best reward for me.
I can only hope that the author will write soon, and maybe finish this story this year (in my dream, probably!).
